Action Plan - Week Beginning 13th October

This week we will be finishing the train carriage scene and doing the shot where Manny and Glen smash up a car. There are only two shoot days which means I'll have plenty of time to do some casting and wigs for the puppets we will need in the coming weeks.

Monday
  • Finish the shots we need for the train, there is one shot that we were supposed to get on Friday but ran out of time so that will be done first
  • Set up the carriage to look like its the other side of the train for the next shots.
  • I will need to make sure Manny and Mandy are placed correctly and that the rods are working and tensioned properly.
  • Puppeteering
  • Be on standby for repairs and maintenance for puppets
Tuesday
  • This is a pre-light day so I will be in the office working on the puppets.
  • The crow bar will need to be pinned into Manny's hands and the cricket bat into Glens Hands. These need to be attached really well because the shot requires a lot of action from the puppets.
  • I need to figure out how to place the hand rods in the hands in such a way that they are controllable with maximum movement from the puppets.
  • I'd also like to tidy up the Old Library because its a small shooting space and it's getting pretty unorganised.
Wednesday
  • This is the shoot day for the car smash. I will be puppeteering Glens arms with Simon on his head and body. Hedly and Terry will be puppeteering Manny.
  • I expect I will need to readjust rods and hand placements throughout the shoot due to the rough nature of the action!
  • Be on standby for puppet repairs and maintenance
Thursday
  • In the morning I will help strike the set and clean up.
  • In the afternoon I will need to discuss with Simon what will need to be casted and the wigs I need to do for next weeks shoot.
  • Make a start on the casting.
Friday
  • Finish casting and start wigs.
  • Also need to figure out how to make Manny pee off the top of the hotel for mondays shot.
